Alex the Lion

Alex was given 24 hours to live. The owners from Berea Kentucky had no permit or license and they were ordered to find him a suitable home or he would be euthanized.

Dirk from SFWRC put Alex in his pick-up. He walked straight in and licked Dirk on the neck.

Tika the Tiger

Tika came from an Animal Dealer in South Carolina. She had been kept in a small metal shed with no access to the outdoors. The dealer intended to kill her to make a rug.

The USDA, US Marshall Service, S. Carolina Wildlife Service and a Local Sheriff helped Dirk take Tika to SFWRC.
